Maven Home started long before Maven Home had a name.
We met 24 years ago in a hardware aisle, which probably tells you everything you need to know. Two women, both obsessed with homes, design and finding the right thing, standing in a place neither of us expected to meet a future best friend and business partner.
Dawn grew up in South Africa. Sherry was raised in a well travelled family and is fluent in Spanish. Between us, travel, different cultures and a love of interiors have always shaped the way we see things.
Seventeen years ago, we turned that shared obsession into our retail business, Style Shack. We learned what people actually want to live with, what makes a great gift and, perhaps most importantly, that we both really, really love to shop.
Then came Paris.
Attending Maison&Objet had been a dream of ours for years. When we finally went, it changed everything. We came home inspired, slightly overwhelmed and completely convinced that we wanted to create something of our own.
That idea became Maven Home.
We wanted to build a wholesale collection with personality. Pieces that feel elevated but easy, beautiful but useful, and never too serious. We love acrylic, entertaining, color, interiors, gifting and the little details that make a home feel special.
Most of all, we love what we do. We still travel, shop, source, edit, debate and get far too excited when we find something fabulous.
Twenty four years after meeting in that hardware aisle, we are still best friends, still business partners and still convinced there is always room for one more beautiful thing.
