Halloween decor has two settings: barely there and haunted warehouse. We prefer somewhere in the middle.
Start with black, cream and warm orange rather than covering every surface in plastic cobwebs.
Make the food part of the decor
Clear acrylic serveware keeps the table modern while candy, cocktails and seasonal snacks provide plenty of color. Fill a three bowl server with chocolate, candy and salty snacks. Use an acrylic tray for cocktails or a bagel tray for donuts and individual desserts.
Keep the styling edited
Add cocktail napkins, a seasonal napkin weight, a few pumpkins and candles. That is enough.
The goal is Halloween, not evidence that a craft store exploded in your dining room.
